| I'm pretty shy at first...but once I get started *rollseyes*...watch out! lol I'm sure you'll start seeing me around more and more. I've known some of you for awhile Let's see...my beliefs would probably be classified as eclectic. I'm one of those that doesn't like to be classified as one thing, or made assumption about...I like to keep 'em guessing I am an empath...which is wonderful and a burden all at the same time. *tackle hugs* C-ya around | |

| Night time is the best. I feel much more alive and myself at night. Actually, I wrote a poem about this feeling despite how most people think that night is a time for evil and day is a time for good. I called it "Blessings in the Dark". | |

| Here it is. I hope you like it.
“Blessings in the Dark”
Night awakens when it is time to soar
Engulfing me in its embrace.
I welcome it without the lure
To question or doubt its reason.
Some surmise it’s of something vile
And support it with tales of an abominable race.
When I hear them, I just smile.
They do not know it is treason.
Their false bliss cannot be swayed
Because, unless they want it,
It will never fade.
Thus, there’s no reason for condemnation.
We have no right to conclude
That they are one way and throw a fit.
They became victims to those that are shrewd.
Diverging between night and day was the birth to segregation.
They do not know the night’s warm touch
That comforts me as I rest.
They try to flee just as such
Searching for the light of day.
For hours on end, they make no progress.
Wasting time, they pursue their futile quest
Of changing the time, I guess.
Finally, their weary bodies lay.
Here comes the interrupting light.
They reluctantly wake.
I do not fight.
For I am revived due to sleep.
Day does not have mercy for those that are weak.
Under the sun, the night’s traitors bake.
Now they cry and shriek,
While I don’t have a need to make a peep.
For more sleep, they wish and wish
But there is not a star in the sky.
So people get back what they dish.
They were foolishly amiss not once, but twice.

| I'm very glad that you like it Astaroth. I'm not sure. Some of my friends say that I should. If I write enough poems that I'm content with, I may eventually try to publish them. For now, I'm just writing for my own enjoyment. | |
